Internationales Jugendcamp am Grünen Band in Ungarn
In den 7 Tagen kommen junge Menschen aus Rumänien, Ungarn und Deutschland zusammen, um den Örség-Nationalpark und die Besonderheiten in der Region der ungarisch-slowenisch-österreichischen Grenze kennenzulernen – denn unberührte Natur trifft hier auf historische Relikte. Der Eiserne Vorhang verlief durch das Gebiet, was reich an Fauna und kulturellen und historischen Denkmälern und Hinterlassenschaften ist, die entdeckt werden können. Die Teilnehmenden erfahren die Artenvielfalt in der Region entlang des Grünen Bandes, das Jahrzehnte lang unbewohnt war und nun als geschütztes Gebiet gilt.
Programmpunkte und Inhalte des Internationalen Jugendcamps:
Kennenlernen der Flora und Fauna (besonders der Artenvielfalt auf den Wiesen) und des geschichtlichen Hintergrundes des Ortes.
Kennenlernen der Naturschutzmaßnahmen vor Ort.
Naturerfahrungen, Wanderungen (z.B. Kräuterwanderung).
Herstellung eigener Produkte aus essbaren Kräutern.
Gemeinsame Gestaltung eines Kräutergartens.
Eintauchen in die Traditionen der Region.
Spaß und Zeit mit- sowie Austausch untereinander.
Unterbringung
in einer renovierten Waldschule mit 2-3 Bettzimmern mit eigenem Bad.

International Youth Camp at the European Green Belt in Hungary
This Camp brings young people from Germany, Romania and Hungary together to get acquainted with the Őrség National Park, near to the Hungarian-Slovenian-Austrian border. This area is said to be untouched due to the former Iron Curtain and is rich in fauna and cultural monuments. The young people participating will directly experience the nature and the effects of human intervention at the areas that have been left almost uninhabited for decades – the so called European Green Belt.
Agenda
The focus of the program is on exploring, learning about the donations of nature, including grasslands. We will discover what the meadows of the Őrség National Park offer us.
The participants will get to know the historical specialties of the area.
The participants can get a taste of the current conservation practices.
Nature experience and hikes (They get to know the edible plants and herbs in the meadow and numerous pollinating insects in the meadows.)
The youngsters will have the opportunity to invent, develop and even create their own products from collected herbs.
Organization and creation of an made herb garden that meets the conditions and traditions of Hungary.
Accommodation
The accommodation will be in a recently renovated forest school building with 2-3 beds per room, each with a separate bathroom.

Every interested person between 18 and 25 (where appropriate until 30) years.
